Assessment and surgical treatment for a persistent or recurring pilonidal sinus at the top of the buttock cleft. Your surgeon recommends an approach after examining the affected area, with a personalised wound-care and follow-up plan. Recovery depends on the operation and how the wound heals. Feel free to contact us to discuss your case, travel arrangements and a personalised quotation.

Prices on this site are estimated starting prices for a straightforward case. Your final price is confirmed only after the treating doctor has reviewed your case.
Now compare it
Ask the private hospital you are considering at home for a written, itemised quote for the same operation. That is the only fair comparison, and we would rather you made it before you commit to anything.

Pilonidal Sinus Surgery in Lahore
A pilonidal sinus is a small opening or tunnel in the skin near the top of the buttock cleft. Repeated pain, discharge or infections can make everyday activities uncomfortable. A surgical consultation helps establish whether an operation is appropriate and which approach suits your condition.
Assessment and Treatment Options
The surgeon examines the area and reviews previous infections, operations and relevant medical history. Treatment may involve removing the affected tissue and leaving the wound open, closing it with stitches, or using a flap for selected cases. The planned technique, including whether a minimally invasive laser approach is suitable, and its availability must be confirmed before booking.
A painful, swollen abscess may need prompt drainage. Seek local medical assessment for a suspected acute infection rather than waiting to travel for an elective procedure.
Laser Treatment for Selected Cases
Laser ablation may be an option for selected patients. After cleaning the sinus tract, the surgeon uses a thin laser fibre to deliver heat inside it and encourage closure. It can avoid a large incision, but is not suitable for every pattern of disease. Healing and recurrence remain possible concerns, and further treatment may be needed.
Ask whether laser treatment is appropriate for your case and available with the treating surgeon. Laser ablation of the sinus is different from laser hair removal around the area. Neither a pain-free procedure nor a permanent cure can be guaranteed.
What to Expect in Lahore
- Before travelling: Share your symptoms, previous treatment and relevant reports so we can help arrange an appropriate consultation and initial quotation.
- Consultation: Your surgeon confirms the diagnosis, treatment options, anaesthetic assessment and any tests needed. Discuss the wound-care arrangements before deciding on surgery.
- Procedure and admission: The estimate below allows one hospital night. Some patients can leave the same day; more extensive treatment may require longer admission.
- Early review: Receive a wound review, written care instructions and a plan for dressings, any stitch removal and continuing follow-up.
- Onward travel: Agree departure timing with your surgeon, including comfort when sitting, journey length and access to wound care at home.
Recovery and Wound Care
Healing varies with the procedure. An open wound can need regular dressings for several weeks, sometimes daily. Closed wounds also need monitoring. Follow your team's individual advice on washing, activity and return to work. After general anaesthesia, arrange a responsible adult to accompany you and stay with you for at least 24 hours after discharge.
The six-day itinerary is a planning allowance, not a promise of complete healing or fitness to fly. Confirm who will provide dressings after departure. Hotel accommodation and coordination do not replace nursing care.
Risks and Follow-up
Possible complications include infection, bleeding, delayed healing, wound separation, scarring and recurrence. Anaesthetic risks are discussed separately. Seek prompt medical advice for fever, worsening symptoms or persistent bleeding.
Package Details and Your Quotation
The draft estimate allows four hotel nights and one hospital night across six days in Lahore. Both packages use the same hospital and surgery allowance; the accommodation and support budgets differ. Airport transfers cover arrival and departure, and local transport covers the planned consultation and review itinerary.
Before booking, request an itemised quotation confirming the operation, surgeon and anaesthetist fees, admission, tests, medicines, dressings and follow-up. Nursing visits, extended stays, additional treatment, flights, visas, meals and companion costs are not included unless expressly stated in your written quotation. Laser treatment is not automatically included in this estimate; its availability and any change in cost must be confirmed in your written quotation. Final cost depends on assessment and the agreed care plan.
