What is Breast Augmentation?
Breast augmentation (augmentation mammoplasty) is a surgical procedure designed to increase breast fullness, restore volume lost after pregnancy or weight reduction, and correct natural asymmetry. Depending on your anatomy, skin envelope, and aesthetic goals, the procedure is performed using medical-grade silicone implants, autologous fat grafting, or a combination of both.
Surgical Options
Implant-Based Augmentation: Cohesive silicone gel implants (round or anatomical/teardrop) are placed either behind the breast tissue (subglandular), beneath the pectoral muscle (submuscular), or in a dual-plane pocket. Incisions are typically concealed in the inframammary fold (crease beneath the breast).
Autologous Fat Grafting (Lipo-filling): Gentle liposuction harvests fat from a donor area (such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs), which is purified and injected into the breast tissue. Ideal for patients seeking a modest, natural one-cup increase without a foreign implant.
Composite (Hybrid) Augmentation: Combines an implant for core projection with fat grafting along the upper pole and cleavage to soften implant edges in slimmer patients.
What to Expect in Lahore
Consultation & Sizing (Day 1–2): Detailed clinical examination, chest wall and breast width measurements, and 3D/sizer trials with your consultant plastic surgeon to confirm implant profile, volume (cc), and placement plane. Pre-anaesthetic blood tests and imaging are completed at the hospital.
Surgery & Overnight Stay (Day 2 or 3): Performed under general anaesthesia in 60 to 120 minutes. You will stay 1 night in the hospital for post-operative analgesia, monitoring, and fitting of your surgical support bra before discharging to your hotel the next morning.
Recovery & Fit-to-Fly Review (Day 4–8): Mild tightness across the chest is normal for the first 72 hours. Dissolvable sutures are typically used alongside waterproof dressings. Your surgeon will conduct a wound and contour check on post-op day 5 or 6 before clearing you for your flight home.
