Autologous fat grafting, commonly referred to as fat transfer, is a surgical technique that harvests adipose tissue from donor sites—such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs—using liposuction. The extracted fat is subsequently purified and meticulously injected into targeted areas, including the face, breasts, or buttocks, to restore lost volume, correct asymmetries, and enhance structural contours. This procedure provides the dual benefit of refining the donor site while utilizing the patient's own tissue to achieve natural, long-lasting aesthetic improvements with a minimal risk of adverse immunological reactions.
